The legend of Manchester United ( MU ), Jaap Stam, gave his opinion regarding Antony's debut with the Red Devils. Jaap Stam assesses the attacker recruited from Ajax has the potential to become a top player for MU.
MU managed to complete the transfer of Antony. They signed the Ajax winger a few days before the summer transfer window closed.
Manchester United manager , Erik ten Hag, surprisingly made Antony a starter against Arsenal. Although less than a week of practice, but Antony scored a goal in his debut match. Jaap Stam admitted that he was impressed to see the striker's debut.

Jaap Stam admitted that he was impressed to see Antony who scored a goal in his debut match with MU . He considered it quite difficult for new players to immediately tune in , especially since he only practiced a few days before the match started.
"I thought it was very good to play well right from the start. He really wanted to dribble and asked a lot of balls from his team-mates," said Stam.
"He's trying to create something on the pitch. I don't think it's easy for any player to make a big impact right away in their first game, and he did it successfully."

Jaap Stam is optimistic that Antony has the potential to become a top player for MU . The former Red Devils defender thinks the attacker can still thrive with the Red Devils.
He hopes that Antony can immediately tune in so that he can show his best abilities with the Red Devils squad.
"You can see this kid has a special talent because he scores goals when given the chance. He has a sharp finish and hopefully he will join the team soon because this kid can be a great player in the future," said Stam.
United should face Crystal Palace this weekend. However, this match was postponed because the Premier League has set a period of mourning over the death of Queen Elizabeth II.
So MU will only play next week. They will visit Moldova to face Sheriff Tiraspol in the Europa League.
