Cristiano Ronaldo, Harry Maguire and Luke Shaw Better Leave Manchester United

Former Manchester United ( MU ) wing-back, Patrice Evra, shared his assessment of the situation experienced by Cristiano Ronaldo, Harry Maguire, and Luke Shaw at Old Trafford at this time. The former French footballer assessed that it was time for the three players to leave Manchester United.

United are indeed building a new era under manager Erik ten Hag. This era also started on a less than good note, where the Red Devils started the Premier League this season with two consecutive defeats in the first two matches.

However, the victory was finally obtained in the third week when Manchester United faced Liverpool. In this match, Erik ten Hag made a number of significant changes, including benching Cristiano Ronaldo, Harry Maguire and Luke Shaw.

Harry Maguire became the first name at Manchester United to get an assessment from Patrice Evra. According to him, Maguire received sharp criticism solely because of his tag of 80 million pounds.

"I can say that people were too harsh on Harry Maguire. However, he paid the price for his transfer fee," said Patrice Evra at Betfair .

"From that day on, I said he was going to have the most difficult season for United because people only look at the price. If we bought him for 5 million pounds, people would say he's an incredible centre-back."

"We've all played badly, but now we've gotten to a point where, even when he's doing well, people aren't happy. So there's negativity around him."

Evra also gave his opinion on the situation that was afflicting Cristiano Ronaldo. As is known, CR7 is reportedly desperate to leave MU and join another club.

"Cristiano Ronaldo's saga is another matter. Does he stay? Does he leave? He's still here, the transfer window isn't closed yet, but I think, personally knowing Cristiano, if he doesn't play, then he wants to leave," said Evra.

"I think it will be the best for him and for United."

Luke Shaw was the last name that Patrice Evra commented on. For Evra, the presence of Tyrell Malacia could make Shaw it's time to leave Manchester United .

"We've played Luke Shaw for many years and I'm very careful when talking about left-back because I've been in this position and it's not an easy position," said Evra.

"Luke Shaw has been here for many years and he hasn't lived up to the standards set by Denis Irwin or myself, and I think left-back is a very important position for United."

"Maybe it's time for those players to leave," said Evra.
