Arsenal lost 0-3 to Tottenham Hotspur in the North London derby, Friday (13/5/2022). Arsenal goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdale couldn't hold back after conceding three goals and was openly disappointed with the referee's leadership in the match.
Playing the North London derby at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, Arsenal were beaten by the home team with a landslide score of 0-3. Two Harry Kane goals and an additional goal from Son Heung-min made the Gunners go home disappointed.
Not only that, Arsenal also had to play with 10 players from the 33rd minute. The reason, Rob Holding was sent off after getting two yellow cards.
Arsenal is currently ranked fourth in the Premier League standings and one point ahead of Tottenham Hotspur who are below it.
Aaron Ramsdale feels very disappointed with Arsenal 's defeat at Tottenham Hotspur headquarters. Because the results are not as expected.
"Yeah, that's definitely not what we came here for," Ramsdale told the club's official website.
"We came here for the three points, personally, the referee's decision went against us tonight."
Aaron Ramsdale was also dissatisfied with the referee's decisions, particularly the penalty and Holding's expulsion. He accused the referee of a major role in Arsenal 's defeat .
"I've never seen a rerun. We are an honest group of lads, so when we see the replay and if it is a penalty and a red card, we will be the first to admit it."
"I feel like a big decision went against us and then our fight got really tough," he continued.
Aaron Ramsdale also added that the referee's decision could change the course of the game in no time.
"It was a short amount of time and we went from looking comfortable in the game at 0-0 to being 0-2 down and then it was a gamble," he added.
"If you get the next goal the crowd can get a little nervous and we can get back into the game. Unfortunately, we conceded the goal right after half-time and the game was over."
