5 Korean Artists Who Choose Homeschooling, Their Schedules Are Busy!

Busyness can make it difficult for Korean artists to divide their time between school and work. It's common knowledge, too, that most of them debut at a young age and have to endure various tough things in undergoing a busy schedule in their careers.

1. Wonyoung IVE 


In April 2019, Off The Record Entertainment stated that Wonyoung would continue his education by homeschooling after graduating from middle school. This decision was taken after the agency discussed the idol 's future with his parents.

2. Yujin IVE


Following his group mates, Yujin was declared no longer a student of the Seoul School of Performing Arts in October 2019. Off The Record Entertainment took this decision again after a long discussion with the artist and his parents. 


Instead, Yujin will be self-study, homeschooled , and will take a qualifying exam to have her education level recognized. Like Wonyoung, he was indeed very busy as an idol at that time. He even promoted in Japan and Korea with IZ*ONE.


3. AKMU


In the Healing Camp program , AKMU revealed that their parents allowed the two of them to homeschool while living in Mongolia. They were happy at first, but then felt like going to normal school again. However, they ended up finding out that his parents were unable to follow suit due to difficult financial conditions. 


Chanhyuk said that he and Suhyun were going through a difficult time at that time. They had to eat rice with soy sauce alone. They also have no friends and cannot wear school uniforms. However, they were strong-willed by continuing to compose songs until they entered the K-Pop Star and won.


4. Samuel


Samuel decided to homeschool because of his busy career. After graduating from junior high school, he chose to study at home so he could focus on developing his career.


Samuel found it difficult to balance school life with his schedule as a solo artist after attracting attention on the program Produce 101. He wanted this so that he could focus on his studies and career more effectively. He has been very busy since 2018, debuting in Japan and releasing soundtracks for dramas.


5. Kim So Hyun


At a press conference, Kim So Hyun said that she had decided to study at home in the future. The reason is because the actress finds it difficult to manage filming schedules and go to school, nor does she want to burden her friends.
