French legend says Chelsea can really kick Real Madrid out of the Champions League, the reason?

French national team legend Emmanuel Petit believes Chelsea can beat Real Madrid in the 2021/2022 Champions League quarter-finals.

Petit, who has played for Arsenal, Barcelona and Chelsea throughout his career, believes Thomas Tuchel's side can reach the Champions League final this season.

The Blues will face Real in the quarter-finals of the competition, with the winner going to face either Manchester City or Atletico Madrid.

Of course they can (beat Real Madrid)," said Petit.

“Did you watch El Clasico? I was in the game (against PSG) and it seemed PSG were the better team in both games and should have scored at least five or six goals."

"This is what Barcelona do and when you look at Chelsea they have so many players who can hurt you in their team," he said.

"I know it's Real Madrid and the history of the club, but I'm pretty sure Chelsea will qualify."

Besides Chelsea against Real Madrid, the other Champions League quarter-finals pitted Manchester City against Atletico Madrid.
