Robert Pattinson and Matt Reeves are collaborating on a new superhero film, The Batman, which is slated to hit theaters starting Friday, March 4, 2022 (by US release date). Pattinson will play a batman based on the DC Comics character, while Matt Reeves will direct and write with Peter Craig.
Jeffrey Wright and Zoe Kravitz also join Pattinson in The Batman, playing Commissioner James Gordon and Catwoman. Meanwhile, Paul Dano and Colin Farrell are enemies of Batman in this film, namely The Riddler and Penguin.
The Batman follows the story of Batman in his early years, as a vigilante who struggles to balance truth and anger while investigating the mysteries that plague and terrorize Gotham. The film was originally scheduled to be released in June 2021, but was delayed due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
