News: The Batman Delays Release in Russia Due to Invasion of Ukraine

 Due to the conflict between Russia and Ukraine, Warner Bros. announced that it would delay the release of The Batman in Russia. The film, directed by Matt Reeves, is scheduled to be released on March 5.

"In light of the humanitarian crisis in Ukraine, WarnerMedia has postponed the release of The Batman in Russia," a WarnerMedia spokesperson said in a statement.

The Warner Bros. does not rule out the film The Batman will re-air in Russia as long as the situation and conditions have returned to normal. "We will continue to monitor the current situation. We hope for a speedy and peaceful resolution to this tragedy," the statement concluded.

Hours earlier, The Walt Disney Company also announced the postponement of all Russian releases. One of them, the film Turning Red. Initially, the animated film was scheduled to premiere in Russia on March 10. However, Disney took this step to promote humanity.

"In light of the unprovoked invasion of Ukraine and the tragic humanitarian crisis, we are discontinuing theatrical releases of films in Russia, including Pixar's Turning Red," Disney said in a statement.

Disney will remain open to resuming the film's release in Russia. In addition, Disney also provided reinforcements to Ukrainian citizens who had fled to neighboring countries due to the war. "We will make future business decisions based on the evolving situation," Disney said.
