Quoted in an official statement, Sunday (12/26/2021), Kenneth Branagh was again appointed as the iconic detective Hercule Poirot.
In the film , Kenneth will be joined by Tom Bateman, four-time Oscar nominee Annette Bening, Russell Brand, Ali Fazal, Dawn French, Gal Gadot, Armie Hammer, Rose Leslie, Emma Mackey, Sophie Okonedo, Jennifer Saunders and Letitia Wright.
Death on the Nile tells the story of Belgian detective Hercule Poirot who travels to Egypt on a glamorous ship, turned into a terrifying quest when a seemingly perfect couple on their honeymoon are tragically murdered by a mysterious person.
Set in the beautiful landscape of the vast desert and the majestic pyramids of Giza, this dramatic tale of a love that ends in misfortune features a cosmopolitan group of tourists who are elegant and filled with mystery that will intrigue viewers and be served a surprising twist.
Shot on a Panavision 65mm camera in late 2019, Death on the Nile is said to take viewers back to the 1930s by recreating many of the locations that inspired Christie to create mystery stories about glamorous high society.
